Being a working actor myself, I know what kind of shots have impact and understand the trepidation actors have about getting headshots. The solution: I get to know my clients as we shoot, I talk to them as people, not as subjects in front of a camera. We get involved in something that's meaningful to them or funny or even frustrating, whatever is on their mind. In this relationship I catch people (actors) being human, they forget about themselves and stop "posing" or going for some "look", but as a result who they really are comes out, the "look" or "result" , takes care of itself and is not forced, the same way it happens in good acting. This kind of real involvement with another person has been my philosophy as an actor and now also as a photographer.
